Dirty is the seventh studio album by Sonic Youth, originally released in 1992. Produced by Butch Vig following his work on Nevermind, the album marked the band's most direct engagement with alternative rock while retaining the experimental guitar tunings and noise textures that defined their sound.

Featuring tracks including 100%, Youth Against Fascism and Sugar Kane, Dirty captures Sonic Youth at a pivotal moment when underground culture was crossing into the mainstream. The album artwork features photography by Mike Kelley, whose work became inseparable from the visual identity of the release.

Widely regarded as one of the band's defining records and a landmark of early 1990s alternative music.
